Trinity Bay Disaster The sad news of the loss of the Effie M. with all hands sent a wave of compassion and sympathy throughout the city. The members for the district, Messer. Gushue, Lloyd and Miller met this morning in this office and sent a joint note of sympathy and enquiry to Trinity. They also decided to start a Subscription List on behalf of the widows and orphans who are now mourning the loss of their beloved ones. There was only time to make two calls, but several prominent men met on Water Street promised their support. These gentlemen will be glad to receive and acknowledge subscriptions. It is the intention to hand over the fund to a local committee to be administered on behalf of the widows and orphans and others who were dependent on the fishermen who perished in the Effie M.
